Melbourne played host to the FINAL of the 2016 Sailing World Cup series which included 10 Olympic Classes + Formula Kites. Catch the action of the Formula Kites and learn about this amazing hydrofoiling class, the athletes and the story behind this year’s event.
~ Top 10 qualifiers have progressed through to the Final Medal Races
~ 3 x Medal Races
~ Each race to be counted – No discards
~ Races are 2 laps of the Olympic format Windward/leeward sailing course
~ Athletes will be reaching in the region of 21+ knots upwind and 27 knots downwind in just 10-13knots of breeze.
